This is one of the best animations that I’ve ever seen NASA do and the animators should be especially proud. Great voice over too.
Unfortunately the Orion and SLS really don’t get us there. The three Commercial Landers awarded as part of the development program will. There is no reason why a commercial capsule like Dragon Crew can’t meet a lander in orbit, dock, and then descend for 1/10th the price.
Same for a Mars mission.
