Intel Launches Core i9-10850K: A Slightly Slower and Slightly Cheaper Core i9-10900K

With no surprises involved, today Intel announced the launch of the Core i9-10850K , thus confirming all the leaks to date, and this implies a 10-core processor  and 20 processing threads  with a Base / Turbo frequency of  3.60 / 5.00 GHz ( 5.10 GHz Turbo Boost 2.0 and 5.20 GHz Thermal Velocity Bost) and 4.80 GHz on all cores simultaneously. with a TDP of 125W (PL1 125W / PL2 250W).

In essence, we are dealing with an Intel Core i9-10900K with 100 MHz less in the Base / Turbo frequencies of the CPU compared to the top of the range of the company (3.70 / 5.10 / 5.20 / 5.30 GHz) and the same TDP PL1 / PL2.

Its official price is only known in purchases of 1,000 units, and so the Intel Core i9-10850K has been listed by the company at a price of $ 453, which is $ 35 less than the Intel Core i9-10900K under same circumstances. If we talk about euros, the Core i9-10900K has an RRP of around 610 euros, so this new model could be around 580 euros, which is almost 120 euros more than an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X that offers 12 cores and 24 processing threads.

As expected, this processor is compatible with all current motherboards of the company with the LGA1200 socket, that is, the Intel Z490, Intel H470, and Intel B460 chipsets.
