2020 is being a horrible year, and proof of this is that Intel has seen how yesterday no less than 20 GB of confidential information was leaked after a hacker gave access to a copious Mega account, and even links by Torrent, with very sensitive company information.
This information is very varied, and ranges from the source code of the Development Kits, development, and debugging tools, roadmaps, documents, design diagrams of several of its products, back doors, to information related to the cameras that Intel made for SpaceX, references to the Elkhart Lake platform and its code, and a huge and long etcetera. Come on, a biblical leak that will surely affect the value of the stock market once the doors open.
“We are investigating this situation. The information appears to come from Intel’s Design and Resource Center, which houses information for use by our customers, partners, and other external parties who have signed up for access. We believe that an individual with access downloaded and shared this data, “Intel told Tom’s Hardware portal .
The funniest thing about it is that Intel denied that its security had been compromised, so it would have been a worker or partner who has leaked the information, and it seems that the company would at least have angered an employee after announcing its restructuring. Even the source that leaked the information indicated that Intel could lag behind the competition in terms of code and design. We will have to wait to see what is involved in leaking all this information.
