DC Comics announces Injustice: Year Zero, prequel comic to the popular video game saga

This new story will try to narrate the events leading up to the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game and its comics.

During the last day’s Tom Taylor, writer of numerous themes of Injustice: Gods Among Us as well as Injustice 2, was advancing his return to the collection, something that raised speculation on social networks about an impending Injustice 3 by NetherRealm Studios. It seems that it will not be so, for the moment, since the Australian writer is working on Injustice: Year Zero, a prequel comic.

In the company of Roge Antonio, Cian Tormey, Rain Beredo, and Wes Abbott as cartoonists, Taylor aims to tell the story of the events that triggered the events of the original video game and comics for Injustice: Gods Among Us. In the absence of further detail from the Burbank publisher, the first staple of this story, Fall of the Old Gods, centers its narrative on the Justice League and the discovery of how its predecessors covertly fought a tyrant in the Second World War. “When the Joker finds a way to control DC superheroes, he won’t hesitate to sabotage the League and the JSA from within,” features the magazine synopsis collected by ComicBook.

The series will be launched exclusively in digital format every two weeks, although the first three issues can be purchased for $ 2.49 from this afternoon.

Betting on this story does not have to rule out an upcoming announcement related to Injustice 3. Be that as it may, if something is presented about it, it may be necessary to follow the DC FanDome on August 22, where a new one could be presented. Batman video game and, perhaps, another starring Suicide Squad, a group currently written by Tom Taylor in DC.
