As indicated in a new article by Igor’s Lab, NVIDIA would have changed its plans for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the GPU that will arrive in response to the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. Also, it is mentioned that the RTX 3060 will arrive in two variants in January, a 12GB and a 6GB.
While the latest rumors indicated that the RTX 3080 Ti could have seen its arrival by the end of the year, it had finally been decided that its launch will take place in February, more specifically between the 11th and 17th of that month.
This powerful GPU would have the same number of CUDA cores as its big sister, the RTX 3090 (10,496), but it would have the same bandwidth as the RTX 3080 (760 GB / s). Price-wise, it is estimated to be $ 999, the same as the Red Team’s Radeon RX 6900 XT. However, the NVIDIA model will offer more VRAM memory (20 GB), Ray Tracing with better performance, and of course, DLSS technology that offers a great improvement in performance.

On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 3060 will arrive in January in two variants; one with 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM memory, and a cheaper one with 6GB. The announcement of both would take place in the second week of January, although it is indicated that the 12 GB model would be announced at CES 2021, while its reduced version would do the same at the end of that month.
