Thanks to Amazon Italy we already know what matters most about the first ‘ Matisse Refresh ‘ CPUs, and it is the price and availability of at least two models: the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT and the AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, the official price is hidden for now of the AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT.
The AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT is a 12-core 24-wire processor that is listed at a Tube frequency of 4.70 GHz, that is, just 100 MHz more than the original Ryzen 9 3900X. Regarding its price, it is listed for 569.90 euros with a release date of July 7. For reference, the Ryzen 9 3900X costs 479 euros, while in Italy it costs 449 euros, so we have a huge extra cost if that is the final price, and that is that paying 120 euros for an extra 100 MHz is crazy, and more when that extra performance is very easily overclocked.
The AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT offers 6 cores and 12 threads at a Turbo frequency of 4.50 GHz, making it also 100 MHz faster than the Ryzen 5 3600X. This processor is listed for 284.84 euros, and although in Italy Amazon does not sell the Ryzen 5 3600X, so we also have a significant price increase for the performance improvement that is provided.
If these prices are really official, these CPUs do not paint anything on the market having the current models.
