In Igor’s Lab they have shared some interesting performance results of an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT in 3DMark with and without raytracing and comparing the results with NVIDIA GPUs such as the RTX 3080 FE and the RTX 2080 Ti FE (FE stands for Founders Edition). That is, we compare Navi21 vs Ampere vs Turing.
However, it must be borne in mind that they are not official results, but from reliable sources, but not infallible. Specifically, the results come from a GPU manufacturer that has performed these tests with an AMD evaluation chart. Results are displayed as normalized percentages versus the performance of the RX 6800 XT. Thus, in Firestrike Extreme 4K we have that the RTX 3080 is practically 18% worse than the RX 6800 XT.
In Port Royal, with raytracing enabled, the RX 6800 XT is 22% worse than the RTX 3080 and just 4% better than the RTX 2080 Ti. The rest of the results are interpreted in the same way. Also included is a graph with estimated results based on those obtained with Founders Edition GPUs, extrapolating that of the RX 6800 XT from the percentages of the original graph.
