Nvidia announced that it will  bring the NVIDIA Ampere architecture to millions more PC gamers with the new GeForce® RTX ™ 3060 GPU.

With its efficient high-performance architecture and second-generation NVIDIA RTX ™, the RTX 3060 offers astonishing hardware ray tracing capabilities and support for NVIDIA DLSS technology, as well as other technologies. It is priced at $ 329. NVIDIA Class 60 GPUs have traditionally been the most popular cards for gamers on Steam, with the GTX 1060 being the GPU taking the highest ranking for gaming since its introduction in 2016.

With the new titles come bigger worlds with cinematic graphics and real-time ray tracing – these are gaming workloads that only RTX-powered rigs are prepared to handle. The GeForce RTX 3060 has twice the raster performance and 10 times the ray tracing performance of the GTX 1060.

Key specifications of the RTX 3060 include:

  • 13 shader-TFLOPs
  • 25 RT-TFLOPs for ray tracing
  • 101 Tensor-TFLOPs to Drive NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling)
  • 192-bit memory interface
  • 12GB GDDR6 memory

The resizable BAR will be supported by the GeForce RTX 30 series starting with the RTX 3060. When combined with a compatible motherboard, this advanced PCI Express technology allows the CPU to access all of the GPU memory at once, providing a performance boost in many games.

NVIDIA DLSS: The Gift of AI Gamers Love

AI is revolutionizing games, from game physics and animation simulation to real-time rendering and AI-assisted broadcasting features. Thanks to dedicated AI processors in GeForce RTX GPUs, called tensioner cores, NVIDIA DLSS increases the frame rate while producing beautiful and crisp gaming images, and gives gamers the performance headroom to maximize gaming parameters. ray tracing and increase output resolutions. DLSS is available in over 25 games with more being added every month.

NVIDIA Reflex and Broadcast: The Master Play

NVIDIA Reflex technology reduces system latency (or input lag). Which makes the games more responsive and the players of competitive multiplayer titles have an advantage over their rivals. NVIDIA Broadcast consists of a set of enhancements to the audio and video AI. Including virtual backgrounds, motion capture and advanced noise cancellation, which users can apply to chats, Skype calls and video conferences.

Advanced features of the GeForce experience

All NVIDIA GeForce GPUs benefit from GeForce Experience, a tool used by tens of millions of gamers to optimize game settings, record and load gameplay, stream gameplay, take screenshots, and download and install Game Ready drivers. The latest features include:

●  One-click automatic GPU tuning: The GeForce Experience platform now supports GPU tuning, which can automatically create overclocking profiles through an advanced scanning algorithm.

●  In-game monitoring overlay enhancements: The already robust GeForce Experience in-game overlay now adds performance statistics, temperatures, and latency metrics, including those from the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer.

Where to buy it

The GeForce RTX 3060s will be available at the end of February, starting at $ 329, as custom cards – including stock-clocked and factory overclocked models – from major add-in card vendors such as ASUS, EVGA, Galax, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY. and Zotac.

Pricing and availability will vary by region and partner.
