Intel Mobileye Announces Agreement With Ford To Use Its Driving Assistance Technology

Mobileye, an Intel company focused on the design and development of advanced vision-based driving assistance systems, announced an agreement with Ford Motor Company to bring its technology to Ford’s entire product line globally.

As the vendor of choice, Mobileye will supply Ford with its family of EyeQ devices, which, along with vision processing software, will offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) on Ford vehicles worldwide.

As part of the agreement, Ford will display the Mobileye name on vehicles through the inclusion of its logo on SYNC ADAS communication screens, letting customers know that some features of Ford Co-Pilot360 technology utilize detection capabilities. provided by Intel Mobileye.

Mobileye will provide its suite of EyeQ detection technology to support the ADAS features available in Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, such as the lane-keeping system, automatic lights, pre-collision assistance with automatic emergency braking and control of adaptive cruise with stop and go and centered on the lane.

“It is a privilege to extend and expand our long-standing collaboration with a company so committed to security on behalf of its global customer base,” said Amnon Shashua, President and CEO of Mobileye. “We look forward to working closely to bring these capabilities to market in the full Ford product line.”
