On November 27 last year, the Upbit exchange was hacked and 342,000 Ethereum was stolen. The hackers later washed out more than 236,000 Ethereum through multiple digital currency exchanges in December and January. The remaining Ethereum has been left in the hacker’s wallet. Clain reports tracking digital currency transactions, and hackers have recently begun trying to wash off the remaining Ethereum through multiple exchanges.
The hackers used several well-known exchanges, including Binance, Huobi, and OKex. Tracking of transactions that stole Upbit Ethereum shows that Binance is the most utilized exchange.
Binance officials said it has blocked hackers’ transactions, and the data shows that the wallet addresses used by hackers have been active for a long time, and were not blocked until recently.
