Curfew started and we got back to work, and nothing better than talking about an Apple A14X Bionic found in an unknown next-generation laptop in the Geekbench benchmarking software.
This SoC was found with a configuration of 8 cores (vs 6 cores of the Apple A14 that gives life to the iPhone 12) and was running at a Base / Turbo frequency of 1.80 / 3.10 GHz, and was accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. This is not the most powerful configuration, remembering that this will offer a configuration of up to 12 cores.
This SoC returned a single- core score of 1634 points and a multi-core score of 7220 points . For reference, the same benchmark, MacBook Pro 16 inch Intel Core i9-9880H @ 2.30 / 4.80 GHz throws 1096 / 6869 points obviously respect to other equipment, MacBook has serious cooling and Core i9 is not capable of reaching its potential , so if Apple has managed to improve the IPC of this Intel Core i9, then we already have a compelling reason to replace Intel’s x86 processors with their own custom silicon based on the ARM architecture, the which will be much more energy efficient and will generate less temperature problems.
