The Ryzen 9 5900HX is an 8-core, 16-thread processor that has a 3.3 GHz base clock speed and a 4.7 GHz boost clock speed. This processor will bring the ASUS ROG Zephyrus and notebook to life. that was tested here is the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733.

Performance results

In PassMark’s multi-core test, the processor scores about 24,039 points, the highest score seen so far in the notebook segment. In a single thread, the score is 3365 points. Single core results are higher than seen on any Tiger Lake-U processor or the current Core i9-10980HK. This is great news for AMD and it is not surprising that manufacturers like ASUS are betting on Ryzen in their higher-end laptops.

Currently, eight models of the Ryzen 5000H series have been launched covering the low, medium and high ranges. These laptops will arrive throughout this year. We will keep you informed.
