Bandai Namco and FromSoftware haven’t reported anything on the Elden Ring in a while, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer has revealed some news about the game. Phil said he saw and played the Dark Souls creators project .
In an interview, the executive said that he cannot say much about the project, but was surprised by the result delivered by FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki.
“I can’t say much unless, as someone who has played every Miyazaki game for at least the last decade, this is clearly the most ambitious game I’ve ever tried,” said Phil Spencer. The executive also said that the presence of George RR Martin, creator of Game of Thrones, makes a difference in the production.
“ I love their games , but seeing some of the mechanics that Miyazaki and the team are tackling, working with another creator in terms of story. I loved. I love watching them challenge themselves, he’s a great friend of mine, “said Phil Spencer, Xbox Commander.
I love their games, Spencer said.
Spencer also briefly recounted her experience playing Elden Ring. The executive did not provide details of the gameplay, but explained how the moment was. “He greeted me to play it and left the room,” Phil said. “I think it’s because I’m a bad player, and then when I come back, we had a conversation about things that I found.”
The executive also said Hidetaka Miyazaki shows passion for the project. “It’s one of the things I love about working with him and seeing some of those games come to our platform.”
Elden Ring is produced by FromSoftware in association with Bandai Namco. The game hasn’t appeared at any gaming events in a while and has no set release date yet. However, the title has confirmed versions for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
