The official release of Valorant has put Riot Games’ servers to the test. The long-awaited shooter from the creators of League of Legends finally ends its closed beta phase and becomes available for free on PC, but many are still wondering if the game will finally land on consoles.
Riot Games has come back to pronounce on this in the interview of Anna Donlon, executive producer of Valorant, with the GameSpot media. Donlon claims they are testing the game on consoles, but the experience doesn’t provide much assurance to the Riot Games team.
We are doing tests right now,” said the producer. “But the way you play this game and the way you experience it is not completely broadcast on the console .” If we believe that we can offer this experience on that platform, we will certainly do so. But we want Valorant to support a certain type of gameplay and a certain type of experience, “added Donlon.
Riot is clear that, if they find a way to make the game on the console comparable to the PC, they will bring Valorant to this platform. “It’s not a no, for sure, but it’s not our starting point of attention. If we could do it, it would definitely be delayed .”
It seems that we will have to wait a bit for this experience to be possible, in the event that Riot Games agrees with the adaptation. In the meantime, if you’ve just started playing Valorant, you might want to take a look at this tool that lets you quickly handle agents.
