Ubisoft has revitalized and expanded Uplay and Ubisoft Club. Its new ecosystem, Ubisoft Connect, will have ‘cross platform’ features
Ubisoft the creator, and distributor of franchises and titles such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, For Honor, Just Dance; the series of games of Tom Clancy , Ghost Recon including, Rainbow Six and The Division; among other titles has announced the launch of Ubisoft Connect.
In recent days, Ubisoft announced that its ecosystem services existing players and loyalty program, Uplay and Ubisoft Club , will “refresh and expand” under the title of Ubisoft Connect. The premiere of this new “universal interface” happened last Thursday, October 29 and began with Watch Dogs: Legion.
Among the benefits that Ubisoft Connect brings with it is that: gamers of any platform will now “be able to interact with Ubisoft’s in-game services, activities and community.”
This new experience is available with an “intuitive and seamless integration into the game in the most recent titles and news” said the company. Ubisoft Connect is based on ten years of experience of operating online services on PC via Uplay. In addition to the loyalty program Ubisoft Club, which has given gamers “more than a billion rewards ” to date, he said.
This expansion will allow gamers to access social and in-game capabilities no matter what platform they use, including consoles and cloud gaming services (while the PC experience will continue to improve with dedicated services).

Ubisoft Connect will have the ability to “gather millions of players.” Therefore, it could be an ideal place for gamers to connect with friends or participate in events and activities. New limited-time challenges will be available. In addition, the service will provide the gamer community with an inter-game loyalty system that allows players to earn an unlimited number of Units to spend on unique rewards, such as weapons or clothing.
Availability and other features
This new experience integrates a news interface that brings together the activities and achievements of friends. While the “Smart Intel” feature will give gamers video tips and recommendations based on their activities. That is, each gamer will have access to data on their personal statistics and their style of play to continue improving. They will also be able to compare their numbers with those of select groups of friends through an improved ranking system.
This platform is designed “for a new era of gaming where players look forward to playing, progressing and staying in touch with their friends anywhere. As part of the Ubisoft Connect celebrations, “over a thousand Ubisoft Club rewards have been unlocked, free of charge, for all players.” Additionally, they mentioned that regular updates will ” add more features and rewards ” later.
With Ubisoft Connect, the Ubisoft experience is available for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
By the end of the year, some Ubisoft Connect features – which may vary depending on the platform – will be offered on cloud services: Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna.
