Twitch users have received complaints of copyright violations in their videos. Specifically, music that is played without the consent of the authors and record labels. This complaint affects only videos between the years 2017 and 2019.
The platform has sent a message to its users recommending to be working on finding a solution while recommending deleting conflicting videos to protect a possible ban. The problem is that it is very difficult to access such old videos from the platform itself and users ask that access be facilitated as soon as possible.
The problem affects streamers like LittleSiha who practically only broadcast Just Dance games: “I’ve been broadcasting a rhythm game for five years. Music is in the game so … I’m screwed in this situation”
