Bungie is about to close the Season of the Chosen, without a doubt one of the best stages that Destiny 2 has given us to date. After preventing the murder of Zavala and establishing a truce with the Cabal Empress Caiatl, now the Vanguard has room to recover one of the annual events that we are used to seeing in the great looter shooter: the Guardian Games.
For the most uninformed, it is a sporting spring ceremony where the three character classes – Titans, Hunters and Sorcerers – compete with each other through a series of challenges to show which of them is the most dedicated. Or which one can burn more contracts. Jokes aside, the truth is that last year Bungie ended up amassing some valuable lessons that should help build a more even event.
There is a new playlist dedicated to the event
As in all these cases, the Tower (and Eververse, the internal store of the game) will adapt to the event with different decorations, and the merchant Eva Levante will reappear to manage everything related to the contracts and progression of the Guardian Games. We will also be able to keep a good account of the ruling class. There’s a little twist, watch out: at the end of each day, the losing class will gain a permanent boost for a chance to catch up with the others.
To help your class win, it’s time to gather laurels by completing Eva’s assignments. That is nothing new, but as a novelty we will have an assault playlist that groups players by classes, and that will have custom modifiers to challenge the most successful classes.
The Natural Heir machine gun returns, and with it, its catalyst
The Guardian Games will be available starting the next weekly reset on April 20, and during the closing ceremony from May 7 to 11, you will be able to see fireworks to celebrate the deserved victory of the wizards. Or maybe it isn’t. Be that as it may, head over to the official website to see all the new settings and event details, as well as the rewards. The key to it all is the return of the Exotic Natural Heir submachine gun, but the new Eververse armor with glitters and bronze, silver and gold logos also has its
