The PlayStation 3 emulator for PC, RPCS3, continues to improve over time, and a proof of this is how The Last of Us looks today in this emulator, where it has nothing to envy even with respect to the version of PlayStation 4 Pro.
If we look closely, aesthetically they are very similar, with the exception of better shadows for the version that runs natively on the console, and some visual effects that are incorporated, such as offering a blurred image of the screen at a specific moment of the video (not to give possible spoilers). In other respects, the emulated version is better, like some more defined textures.
Best of all, the game ran at a perfect 60 FPS thanks to the use of an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor along with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. Thus, with a basic gaming PC we already have this Triple A game and exclusive to the console emulated virtually seamlessly and running at virtually the same quality as if played on a PlayStation 4 Pro.
The RPCS3 emulator can be downloaded from its official website for both PC and Linux-based computers.
