At a recent press conference to present the company’s financial results, Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood appears to have confirmed the launch month for Xbox Series X.
While the Microsoft website talks about a launch “at the end of the year”, Hood has been more specific in confirming that the launch of the new console will occur in November 2020.
When asked by a Bloomberg journalist about whether the new console will arrive during the festivities in November, “Hood replied” yes. “
It would have been surprising if the Xbox Series X had been released in any other month, as virtually all of its predecessors, including the original from 2001, launched in North America in November. Only the Xbox One S and the now-discontinued Xbox One S All-Digital Edition arrived in another month.
If the console arrives in November, it may be on sale for Black Friday although, considering the novelty, don’t expect to see big discounts on the Xbox Series X.
