Insider has commented that the Nintendo Switch would soon have a new sports game with the characters of Super Mario
One of the most entertaining parts of being a Super Mario fan has to do with its sports franchises. Tennis, basketball, soccer, golf, all have representation in the world of Nintendo. However, these years have been a bit slower for this genre. It has been six years since the last Golf game and thirteen years since the last installment of Strikers. Last year, the Japanese company surprised with the launch of Mario Tennis Open, a very well done Nintendo Switch exclusive with a highly competitive level.
Now, it seems that it will be the turn of another sport to shine. A leaker named Zippo shared information about the future of Camelot. In case you don’t trust this figure, Zippo previously managed to leak information about Super Smash Bros Ultimate. That doesn’t mean you can’t go wrong, but there are reasons to give this user a bit of credibility. On the ResetEra forum, Zippo shared that a new Mario sports game is already in the final stages of its development. For this reason, this game would be released during the first half of next year.
The leaker commented that he assumed it was a new Golf game but this has no confirmation. It could also be Strikers or Hoops, only the chances are less because both franchises have had less consistency. Considering that Golf games are as old as Tennis games, it would make the most sense.
Meanwhile, Golden Age fans are still waiting for Camelot to be able to make a game without Mario on the cover. Despite the sadness of his fans, the long wait continues.
