Demon’s Souls will have its remake as a launch title for the PlayStation 5, the work of Bluepoint Games has already concluded
For years, FromSoftware fans insisted (ad nauseam) about their desire to see Demon’s Souls again. And, as annoying and exhausting as his constant comments may have been, they had a fairly understandable point of origin. Demon is the game that started the legacy that Dark Souls would later make legendary. Without the success of Demon (supported by the Atlus distribution), the next three titles would have been little more than a whisper in America and Europe. Therefore, announcing that this game would receive a remake caused earthquakes on the internet.
And now, this remake has finished its development. Well, not right now. It turns out that Lance McDonald has revealed several secrets of the development of Demon’s Souls on Twitter. This hacker got his information by browsing the From and DS remake data. So he decided to respond to another tweet, commenting that ” Demon’s Souls went gold on September 24th “. In other words, its development came to an end a month ago. With this information, there is no doubt that DS will arrive on November 10 without any problems. The PlayStation 5 has its exclusive star ready for launch.
One more curiosity is that this title is using the Shadow of the Colossus engine. In particular, the critically acclaimed remake that Bluepoint released two years ago. It was after titles like this that PlayStation fans started asking the company to remake the DS. And, after his insistence, they achieved their goal.
How much will this score remake achieve? Will it outperform the original installment or fall short of the rest of the franchise? We will know in two weeks.
