Perhaps some fans of the Assassin’s Creed saga remember that back in 2017, drawings by a Ubisoft employee emerged about an Assassin’s Creed that would take place in China, but we have not seen anything similar since then. Now, the French studio announces a new comic set in the Tang Dynasty period.
Its name is Assassin’s Creed Dynasty and it is the first original Chinese comic in the franchise. Its setting takes place in the year 755 during the reign of the Tang Dynasty. Its production is carried out by Ubisoft and the New Manhua publisher, and its illustrations will come from the artist’s Xu Xianzhe and Zhang Xiao.
According to the well-known insider Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, the protagonist of this story will be called Li E and he will fight during the civil war until becoming a true master murderer. The release of the comic is scheduled for next August 26.
And back to the gaming scene, the most recent we’ve seen about this celebrated Ubisoft saga is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the Viking-themed game that has been partly inspired by the Vikings series. We will see more details about this new installment and many other games from the French company in the next Ubisoft Forward that will take place in September.
