The Nintendo Switch 12.0.0 update is now available and all users of the Nintendo hybrid console can download it to have all the news it includes. Although the official notes on said update did not detail anything remarkable, beyond certain stability adjustments, dataminers have found a hidden option that is causing a lot of expectation in the networks: in the data of this new version, compatibility with bluetooth audio.
It is one of the most requested functions by the Nintendo Switch community and during these first four years of the console’s life, various ways have been sought to be able to adapt the bluetooth audio to the system, something that could end according to the data collected by OatmealDome, one of the best known dataminers as far as Nintendo is concerned. As you can see in the tweet below these lines, in the 12.0.0 update data there are several mentions of bluetooth audio. However, we will have to wait to find out new information and if Nintendo decides on this finding.
[Nintendo Switch System Update]
12.0.0 has added audio support to the Bluetooth driver.
*However*, I’m not sure if anything is actually using this new support so far. No guarantees it will ever be used, either.

The addition of bluetooth audio to Nintendo Switch would be excellent news for all users of the console, which continues to sweep sales, as do its exclusive releases; In the case of Monster Hunter Rise, the last major title to land on the system, it achieved 5 million copies in its first week, a figure that will have increased by far. It seems that Nintendo has a very powerful year in store, especially if the Nintendo Switch Pro is finally released , which could also arrive with a different dock than the base version of the console.
