One of the best PS4 games and from last year 2020 could have a next gen version for PS5, the brand new Sony console. Of course, this is not yet confirmed by Naughty Dog herself, who is working on something “great” for PlayStation, which we do not know.
The Last of Us 2 would come to the new Sony console with an improved version, in addition to a next gen patch for all those who already have it for PS4, although at the moment it is just a rumor. It is run by insider Navtra, who often hits the spot in his PlayStation leaks.
Navtra already anticipated a few days ago that Final Fantasy VII Remake would have a version for PS5, and a few hours ago it affirmed the same of Death Stranding, that it would bring its Extended Edition to the new console and also to PS4. The Last of Us Part II would be next on the list.
Yesterday a user ResetEra asked him to Navtra whether to wait a few months to play to The Last of Us 2, regarding a possible patch for PS5, to which he replied that he had information about the development of the next version of the gene, but can say no more.
” I know a patch was in development at some point, but I’m not sure if it’s still happening or when it will be released. Although I would be surprised if it does not have a patch for PS5 ”, explained this insider in ResetEra.
It seems quite logical that The Last of Us 2 will have an improved edition for PlayStation 5, as it is one of Sony’s exclusive star games and one of the best video games in the PS4 catalog. You can play it through backward compatibility on PS5, but some technical improvements are missing.
You have to differentiate between a possible physical and digital version of The Last of Us Part II for PS5 , and a free update for those who bought the game on PS4 and want to play with improvements on PS5. It seems clear that both will happen, but you never know.
Do you agree with the GOTY 2020 for The Last of Us Part II? We remind you that the Naughty Dog game is the one that has achieved the most matching awards of the year in all of history, surpassing The Witcher 3, which until now held that achievement.
