It seems that Tri-Ace, the software house author of Star Ocean 5 (Integrity and Faithlessness), is working on an ambitious new project to be launched on the next generation consoles.
The news comes directly from the Japanese software house, which is said to be looking for new staff to give life to its new action game. In particular, the studio is aimed at 3D VFX artists who are interested in taking part in the development of the new project, which could become both a completely original IP and a sequel to Star Ocean, Valkyire Profile or Resonance of Fate.
“Why not work with us to create the action-RPGs of the future with the high quality and graphical presentation of next-gen consoles ?”, reads the job ad posted by Tri-Ace translated by Gematsu’s colleagues. “We don’t wait for commercial engines to support new platforms like PS5, we develop our own graphics engines ourselves. “
In short, from the description of the announcement it would seem certain the arrival of the mysterious title on PlayStation 5, but the way in which the work proposal is formulated does not in any way exclude any Xbox Series X | S versions. Net of being part of Nepro Japan, a company focused on the mobile gaming sector, Tri-Ace seems to remain very interested in the console world, and will not lose an opportunity to exploit the hardware of the new generation platforms.
We just have to wait for the dissemination of the first information on this new project.
