Square Enix is undoubtedly one of the great references within the video game industry. Its catalog is huge and houses some of the most beloved sagas such as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts or Dragon Quest, among many others. However, the video game is a very fast changing medium and even the largest companies must adapt and evolve to survive.
Square Enix seeks to strengthen its catalog with the creation of new IPS
It is for this reason that Square Enix has presented a document that sets out the business strategy that the giant has in mind to carry out over the next few years. This was revealed by the well-known insider Daniel Ahmad through several posts on Twitter. One of the most interesting points is the one that talks about investing in new IPs, that is, completely new titles, to reinforce its catalog.
These would be titles whose objective would be to be launched on “high-end platforms”, so we understand that they speak of next-generation consoles and PCs. They also talk about multiple annual releases.
Square Enix plans to strengthen its IP ecosystem as the value of IP grows within the games industry.

At the moment that is the only information there is about it and we do not know anything about the games that Square Enix is up to. A few weeks ago the Japanese giant announced that it would be present at E3 2021, so we hope that in the coming months they will reveal more information about it.
