As we know, the new generation of consoles is getting closer and closer, which is why Sony has been preparing the ground for the arrival of the PlayStation 5. The new console will arrive with great power and resolution, this being one of its biggest bets of the signature. Now then, the firm has just surprised everyone by revealing that the console will not have support for 2K resolution.
This was confirmed by Sony itself through an interview with IGN Italia, where they have given more details about the console. This is how they assured that, if you have a 1440p (2K) monitor, the Playstation 5 will not be able to run the game in that resolution, but will lower it to 1080. With this, it seems that the firm has left aside those players who use monitors to play, as they will be affected.

It seems that, in the 2K sector, the Xbox Series S will be the first choice for many players, since the aforementioned console is cheaper than both versions of the PS5.
