The Monster Hunter franchise seems to be sweeping everywhere , and in just one week of launch Monster Hunter Rise had already managed to sell 5 million copies. Thanks to all the news, fans of the franchise are eager for more and more content, and it seems that Capcom’s data leak a few months ago has provided them with much more than this .
Despite the fact that this leak happened several months ago, there is so much information that fans continue to search and search, and apparently they have also found new treasures. The latest comes from Twitter user AsteriskAmpers1 , who has uncovered what appears to be Sony’s monetary stake to delay the arrival of Monster Hunter World on PC, as well as to block cross-play and cross- platform play. According to the tweet, Sony would have repeated this a year later for the launch of the Iceborne expansion.
The leaks file Global Meeting_minutes_20190315 confirms Sony paid to have the PC Version of MHW delayed and the announcement of its existence pushed back. They did the same for Iceborne release. They are also the reason crossplay and cross-saves were not enabled.
