SEGA is undoubtedly one of the oldest publishers in the video game industry. For almost 4 decades it has managed to establish itself as an icon of video games and, although lately it does not enjoy the recognition it once had, it continues to hit hard. For its part, Fortnite is one of the most successful video games in recent years. The work of Epic Games has transcended the game itself and has become a mass phenomenon as it has rarely been seen in the entire history of the medium. Now it seems that SEGA would have thought to replicate the success of Epic.
SEGA’s tax report hints that they would be developing their own Fortnite
Twitter user King_Seda has discovered that SEGA reports analyzing the past fiscal year repeatedly refer to a “Super Game” , which would be a first-person shooter title that would be released in the next 5 years and would aim to raise more than 100 billion yen.
Daniel Ahmad, one of the most recognized insiders in the industry, has responded to the tweet adding that it indeed seems that it is a single game, but it could also be several. According to Ahmad’s forecasts, it would be a triple A that would follow the gambling business model as a service and where the virtual world would have a particularly relevant importance. Although he hates comparisons, he assures that everything points to SEGA’s plans to launch its own Fortnite.
It does sound like an individual game, but could be multiple titles too.
Essentially seems to be some type of AAA live service game where the virtual world plays a large role. I hate to just say "they want to do Fortnite" but that's the comparison that comes to mind.

Obviously we have to take this information with a grain of salt, since at the moment there is nothing confirmed and it is nothing more than a rumor. However, Ahmad has been right in the past and what is certain is that whatever the “Super Game” that SEGA is planning to launch, it is an interesting bet.
