Versions of Rocket League and Call of Duty: Warzone have 120 fps on the Xbox Series X and not on PS5
As you know, the consoles of the new generation do not have a very noticeable difference in power. They are much more homogeneous devices than, for example, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Or the PlayStation 4, which was significantly more powerful than the Xbox One. However, that does not mean that both devices are identical and there are some games that they are already beginning to explore what can be done in one compared to the other. Two of these games have been Rocket League and Call of Duty: Warzone. Both can run at 120 fps on the Xbox One.
According to the developers at Rocket League, they have been able to do this on the Xbox Series X as this console allows FPS changes more easily. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 5 requires a higher level of modifications, so it was easier for them to make the alteration is just one device. On the other hand, Activision developers have not explained the motivation behind their decision, but the XSX is capable of running Warzone at a constant 100 or 110 fps. Most likely, the PlayStation 5 could do the same, which makes this situation more striking.
Both Rocket League and Warzone have been among the launch titles for both consoles. In this way, it is striking that the differences between Xbox and PlayStation are beginning to show. With games like Final Fantasy XVI and Halo Infinite on the way, the graphical potential of both consoles will soon be shown in greater splendor. However, don’t expect to see what these platforms can actually do for a few years. It takes a long time for developers to understand how to get the most out of the device.
