Resident Evil Revelations 3 reportedly in development with the Switch as the key console, but they might change their name
Remember Resident Evil Revelations? These two games were quite curious, despite clearly having an overwhelming amount of problems. The first Revelations was an attempt to combine the tension of classic REs with the mechanics of modern games. The tension worked at times, but its narrative and the distribution of its chapters left much to be desired. On the other hand, RER 2m without being anything of the other world, was an entertaining and nice title, especially with another player. Now, it seems that Resident Evil Revelations 3 is already being worked on.
This information comes from the leaker and insider DuskGolem, famous for being right sometimes and wrong at others. Although this one has commented one that another error (mainly related to a new Silent Hill), this one does not want to lose its reputation. Thus, this commented on ResetEra (in the thread about Nintendo) that:
I think in the long run people who believe that there will be an Outbreak 3 and that in the end it does not exist will cause more pain than help, but I also have 100% confirmation that Outrage is RE Switch. It might not be called Revelations 3 when it launches, but it is, and it’s the Switch-focused Resident Evil game (it’s not exclusive to the console, it’s going to come out for everything, but the Switch is the main platform.
Outrage is the name of a current project at Capcom and what DuskGolem has shared is that this game will be an RE title with the Nintendo Switch as the main platform. The Outbreak games were strange spin-offs released for the PlayStation 2. There are some who believe that this series will be back, but this insider believes that this is not the case.
