Right now, Resident Evil 8 is in development for next-gen consoles. It’s been three years since Resident Evil VII was released, so it makes sense that a new installment is taking several years to come up with. The fact that Capcom takes so long between major installments is somewhat respectable. Rather than doing what Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, and FIFA do, this franchise has shown the ability to take its time. And the benefits of giving yourself more time is that your deliveries can be more complete and robust.
DuskGolem, a famous insider of horror games, has made some statements about Resident Evil 8. Isn’t it fascinating that many of us who work in this medium has to make notes on this person’s comments over and over again? Also, it’s not like this user hasn’t made mistakes in the past. However, it has managed to evade the guilt that happens when making a mistake with a leak.
Now, to give information about Resident Evil 8, the insider has commented “RE8 will be the longest RE Engine game to date, & without saying too much the other stuff coming up should follow a similar trend.”. It is unknown what this means, but it can be expected that it will at least be longer than Resident Evil 7. While this might be to the liking of some, it may also raise a bit of concern. The duration of RE7 was exact in the sense that it ends right where it should end. What will happen if the title lasts 5 more hours?
Resident Evil 8 will be released for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
