Final Fantasy VII Remake was a success and the community can’t wait to learn more about what the future holds for this reimagining of the classic. So it’s no surprise that speculation broke out when it was revealed that Square Enix registered several trademarks related to Final Fantasy VII.
As Gematsu reports, on December 17, 2020, Square Enix registered the trademarks “Ever Crisis” and “The First Soldier” in Japan. The company did the same on December 22 with the Shinra Electric Power Company logo. These records were made public this morning.
None of these brands mention Final Fantasy; Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VII Remake. So why are they thought to have something to do with this Square Enix series? As fans have surely noticed, they all have at least some connection to some element of the franchise.
For example, Ever Crisis has a name very similar to 2 spin-offs from Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII (arrived in 2004 on mobile) and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (debuted in 2007 for PSP). On the other hand, The First Soldier seems to be a reference to Sephiroth, the main villain of Final Fantasy VII .
Finally, we have the logo of Shinra Electric Power Company, which is a fictional company that exists in the world of Final Fantasy VII.
BRANDS THAT SPARKED SPECULATION AMONG FANS
For obvious reasons, these logs caught a lot of attention from Final Fantasy VII fans . In fact, many claim that they are the first clue of products that are on the way.
For many, Ever Crisis could be downloadable content that acts as a kind of spin-off of Final Fantasy VII: Remake and that is part of the compilation of the series. Something like what Crisis Core was at the time. There are also those who believe that this could be the name of the second part of the Remake project.
We have also read to fans who believe that The First Soldier will be a product that will explore the origins of Sephiroth. If real, this could be an anime, movie, or even a video game.

Alright my theories for the Final Fantasy VII trademarks.
Ever Crisis is going to be an expanded CC taking place of the Nibelheim flashback.
Cloud arrives at Kalm after the events of FF7R but his retelling now includes Crisis Core.
First Soldier = Sephiroth origin game pls?

What caught our attention is that it seems that the fan theories did not go unnoticed by Square Enix. What happens is that shortly after they started they made a post suggesting that they are thinking about Cloud Strife. Will we see an announcement soon? Let’s hope so.
