Niantic, developers of the successful Pokémon GO, have confirmed in their official accounts that the software will go into maintenance on Monday, June 1. The process will last for six hours, at which time “maintenance will be carried out on the server and no Coach will be able to access the game”.
The developers have extended an apology for the inconvenience that the decision may cause, necessary to continue improving the application and the game with new content. From Niantic itself, users are urged to follow the official social networks of the game to learn new details about the procedure and the time when it will be opened to the public again.
Pokémon GO has been current in the last hours when it was announced that the annual event of the game, the Pokémon GO Fest 2020, will be held digitally on July 25 and 26. Naturally, current circumstances prevent massive rallies, so developers plan big events and digital surprises for the summer.
Despite the years that have passed since its brilliant premiere, the debut of the Pokémon mobile formula is still one of the most played video games for phones of the moment. The title recently made new changes that will allow Pokémon GO to take greater advantage of the augmented reality already present in the software.
