Sony’s financial year has ended in style. According to sales reports released last month, PlayStation 4 topped 110 million consoles sold. In addition, the paid services, PlayStation Now and PS Plus had a considerable increase in users.
The figures showed us that, until last March 31, PS Plus managed to add 5.1 million more users than last year, with a total of 41.5 million . Now, the new strategy paper released by Sony reflects a significant increase in the numbers of the other subscription service, PlayStation Now.
PS Now experiences a big boost after receiving PS4 titlesAt the end of April, PS Now had more than 2.2 million users , which means twice as many players as in April 2019, when it registered more than one million. At the end of March 2018, the figures for this service exceeded 700,000 subscribers, so growth in 2020 has been quite significant.
Sony attributes this success to the arrival of PS4 games to the PlayStation Now catalog, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Persona 5. The offer seems to improve with each month, offering now in May three new additions that include a popular shooter and two great horror titles:: Rainbow Six: Siege, The Evil Within 2 and Get Even.
