Mandatory to play online.
Sony has just released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4 , which will bring the console to version 7.51 of the system.
Being the first update since last April when version 7.50 was installed that added improvements to the High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), this update comes only to optimize the performance of the console.
The size reaches only 471.4 MB , being this mandatory to install to enjoy the benefits such as playing online.
Although the update starts automatically when you turn on the PlayStation 4, otherwise it can be done manually by entering the Configuration part and the option Update system firmware .
Remember that version 7.50 brought with it various problems that were reported on Reddit with some players entering infinite restart loops when installing, up to bugs in the Blu-Ray disc reader.
