According to the latest industry rumors, it seems that Nvidia Corp. has everything in its favor to be the company that finally acquires processor designer Arm Ltd., a company that the Japanese SoftBank Group Corp. bought 4 years ago for $ 32 billion., according to sources familiar with the agreement. So one of the first questions is to know how much money Nvidia is offering to close the deal.

Reportedly, both sides aim to reach an agreement in the coming weeks, indicating that Nvidia would be the only company to have offered a great interest in this acquisition, something evident due to the current positioning of the company, which is the queen of the market graphics and nothing in enough money for Arm to be a fairly affordable acquisition, and more knowing what the sum of Arm and Nvidia could imply for a market that is beginning to separate from the x86 architecture, and this implies being able to launch own products without depending from companies like AMD or Intel.

With the acquisition of Arm, Nvidia would fully exploit, and dominate, the mobile device market, a market that failed in the past, and would have a client for very powerful companies such as Apple, Qualcomm, and even Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel Corp. We will have to wait to see if Nvidia finally closes what is probably the largest deal in history in the semiconductor industry.
