We know that the new generation of PlayStation and Xbox is getting closer and closer to launch. Due to this, we have seen how various analysts have been giving their vision of sales in terms of consoles. While many say that PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X will have a greater number of sales, others are pointing out that the Nintendo Switch would sell even more than the consoles this Christmas.
Japanese blog Esuteru has transcribed a document from the research division of Ace Securities Co., an asset management firm which apparently has a few toes dipped into the games industry, said that “Switch will surpass PS5 this Christmas. Likewise, as detailed in the document, this does not include the Xbox Series X since, as we know in Japan, the Microsoft console does not have much of an impact.
As they have detailed, Nintendo has had an increase of 10% in the first quarter. Likewise, during the current pandemic, said figure reached 48% higher than expected. Likewise, they assure that the lack of Nintendo Switch around the globe will further boost sales since as we know in various parts of the world there have been shortages of Nintendo consoles.
“It appears the company has a system to distribute all of the significantly increased production, but there are no signs that the Switches are on the store shelves. Nintendo’s business performance will continue to be strong in the second quarter [of the fiscal year]. And it appears that the Switch, which is significantly underperformed, will outperform the PS5 during the holiday season, “says the analyst.
