Famitsu conducted interview with SEGA’s Shuji Utsumi and he said the following:
- SEGA wants “globally expand” ATLUS games by releasing them simultaneously worldwide and possibly on multiple platforms
- Yakuza 7 is the most successful title in the franchise worldwide
- Nagoshi was asked to work closer to game development again to help turn big titles into global hits and therefore necessary profits (which explains why his role at SEGA has been changed some months ago)
- New Sonic game may be announced soon
New Sonic title is likely to be announced either during E3 (SEGA is confirmed to participate) or on June 23rd (Sonic’s 30th anniversary). It is unclear whether the new game is going to be recently leaked Sonic Colors remaster or something new.
