2020 was a significant year for Naughty Dog with the release of The Last of Us: Part II and the announcement of the HBO series of The Last of Us. This historic year was also reflected in management changes, where Neil Druckmann was appointed as the new co-chairman of Naughty Dog.
In a statement posted on the studio’s official site, Naughty Dog president Evan Wells announced that Druckmann was promoted. In this way, he will stop being vice president of the company – which he held for 3 years – to co-direct the company together with Wells.
Since Druckmann’s position became vacant, Naughty Dog decided to have it filled by a couple of very important members of the studio. With this, Alison Mori, until today Chief Operating Officer, and Christian Gyrling, Co-Director of Programming, will become Naughty Dog’s new Vice Presidents.
“We have such an incredible team at Naughty Dog and being able to work with each of its members is very meaningful, especially during these days. I am proud of the team when I am able to recognize their accomplishments and contributions to the study. Please join me in giving them a huge congratulations! ”He explained.
