Although Capcom is one of the oldest publishers in the entire video game industry, lately it is experiencing some of the best years in its history. For a few months now, we have heard with some regularity that the company breaks a new profit record or that one of its titles rises as one of the best sellers.
Capcom set a new record in the past fiscal year thanks to Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 3 Remake
The last March 31 closed the fiscal year and as reported from Eurogamer, Capcom has shared some interesting information about some of the main games in its extensive catalog. First of all, the publisher wanted to reiterate the enormous success of Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 3 Remake, which have accumulated 6 million and 3.9 million copies sold respectively. Recall that Capcom recently published that Monster Hunter Rise entered the list of best sellers in the entire history of the company.
They have also dedicated a few words to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S version of Devil May Cry 5, stating that they have “worked well.” Looking to the future, based on the launch of Resident Evil Village, the Japanese company expects revenues of about 756 million euros (100 billion yen) and profits of 317 million euros (42 billion yen).
Remember that Monster Hunter Rise is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch . There is a PC version currently in development that will arrive sometime in 2022, but Capcom has not yet determined a specific date for its release.
