The film adaptation of Monster Hunter: World is one of the most anticipated movies by fans of the Capcom franchise. Its direction is in the hands of the well-known filmmaker Paul WS Anderson, known for his adaptations of the Resident Evil saga to the cinema, also starring actress Milla Jovovich.
The Japanese portal Mantan (via Anime News Network ) has left us with a new image of Jovovich during the filming of the film. The actress will play the main character in the story, Lieutenant Artemis, dressed in a team that Monster Hunter players will recognize.
In the image we see the Slinger tool, and on previous occasions, we have been able to appreciate the actress holding the iconic Giant Jawblade sword. The first promotional posters for the film came with the message “choose your weapon”, and in them, we could see Jovovich with Tony Jaa prepared to hunt down the creatures of the Monster Hunter universe.
The film finished filming a few months ago and is scheduled to hit theaters on September 4, 2020, if all goes well and there is no unforeseen delay. Capcom wants to put all the meat on the grill with this franchise, which is one of its most successful and profitable. In the past, they claimed that their expansion plan covered events, movies, and much more related to Monster Hunter.
