Months go by, and the Xbox Series X release date is getting closer. This is why Microsoft has been revealing various details over the months. Phil Spencer, for his part, has done the same, since he has been hinting at the future work of the company. Now, the head of Xbox has just pointed out that this new console would not be the last of the firm, but that we could see much more in the future.
During an interview, a manager revealed his future vision regarding consoles. In which he has highlighted, the inseparable relationship that we know about consoles and TV. That is why the head of Xbox has pointed out that, for the future, consoles will not have to depend on televisions. To contextualize, he pointed out that people can watch Netflix through any device, be it TV, Smartphone, Tablet etc, ensuring that they are aiming for that. Likewise, he pointed out that it is not necessary that the hardware should die, but rather provide a new gaming experience.
“You and I could watch Netflix. I don’t know where you see it, where I see it, but we can have conversations about the programs we watch. I want the games to evolve to that same level. I like watching television. I like to play games on television. It is where I play most of the time. I think there will be, for a long time, a world where people want to play on a TV, and we are committed to that and will provide great console experiences. I don’t think the Xbox X series is our last console. I think we will make more consoles so that this great television gaming experience works and is delicious, ”he said.
