The Top Gun: Maverick DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been postponed for 6 months to be able to release the movie together in theaters.
Among the most awaited news for Microsoft Flight Simulator there is certainly the DLC dedicated to Top Gun: Maverick , the new film with Tom Cruise, but since the latter has undergone a further postponement in cinemas, the expansion will also arrive late than expected.
The movie Top Gun: Maverick, after various postponements, is now scheduled for May 27, 2022 and, apparently, the dedicated DLC will also arrive in that period, therefore with a considerable delay compared to what was previously announced, given that there was talk of this fall.
Just a few days ago, during Gamescom 2021, Asobo and Microsoft had reiterated that the Top Gun: Maverick DLC was scheduled to arrive on November 18, 2021 , on the same date set for the film’s release in cinemas, but with the net postponement of the latter also the expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator will suffer the same fate.
With a brief communication published on the official flight simulation website, the developers let you know that the Top Gun: Maverick expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10, Steam, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox Game Pass will be released together with the film. “we will share more information in the future”.
A little above it is reported that the release date of the film is May 27, 2022, so we can expect the DLC on that date, with a delay of 6 months compared to the previously announced release, so we will have to wait a very long time. In the meantime, if nothing else, we hope that the extra time given to Asobo and Microsoft will allow us to further refine the contents of the expansion, which will still be free .
A few days ago, it was revealed that the World Update 6 has also been postponed , but in this case only for a short time, with release scheduled for next week, on 7 September 2021.
