Riot Games has already taken a run and can’t stop. The team behind the famous League of Legends launched this 2020 Valorant, a Shooter based on the LOL universe. Later, he has released a mobile adaptation of his more than successful MOBA, League of Legends: Wild Rift and also has a classic RPG, Ruined King, in view. Now we have to add another project, and that is that the team has confirmed something that fans have been asking for for years: a League of Legends MMO.
At last! League of Legends MMO is now official
Riot Games wants to expand its franchise like never before and, although somewhat late, it is doing so with all the force you can imagine. It has many open fronts and projects that even look at the small screen, but now it has given what is undoubtedly the most popular news for the entire game community. The Vice President of IP and Riot Entertainment, Greg Street, has launched the dart on Twitter: “Because now is the time. My new job is to kick off a great (some would say massive) game that many of you, many Rioters, have been asking of us ”.
I have news!
My recent job at Riot has been to help develop the League universe, which we’re going to need!
Because it is time. My new job is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create.
PS We’re hiring

Among the responses, Street has taken very little to confirm the suspicions of everything. When a user asked her if the project would be an MMO, her response was blunt: “It’s an MMO. ” Thus, it is more than confirmed. In the absence of the studio releasing a statement or any type of teaser, it has just confirmed that the great expansion of League of Legends will be a massively multiplayer online game. Something that, although it has not been mentioned, has a very clear rival in its sights: World of Warcraft.
