The Yakuza saga is famous for having a large number of minigames. One of the most popular are the SEGA arcade rooms, where we can experience some titles from the Japanese company such as Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. Now, a fan discovered that the full console version of the game can be played in Yakuza 6: The song of Life and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Officially, players can only play the arcade version of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, the last game in the franchise so far. However, a PC modder discovered that by changing a line of code, it is possible to access the console edition of this fighting title in the sixth and seventh installments of Yakuza.
VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 IS FUNCTIONAL IN YAKUZA TITLES
In the arcade version of Virtua Fighter 5 we can only play fights against the CPU or versus confrontations for 2 players, while in the console version other game modes are unlocked such as tutorial and training.
Therefore, it is interesting to discover that in Yakuza 6 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon there is a working copy of the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5.
However, the emulation in this unofficial version of the game presents some problems and errors. To begin with, the online functionalities are not available and, in the case of accessing the DLC section, the title is blocked. Also, some English texts are cut off.
But tell us, what do you think of this impressive discovery? Let us read you in the comments.
