Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen is the latest addition to the Destiny 2 universe. The new season helped reinvigorate the game by bringing new content, activities, and a new power level cap for players to reach.
Battlegrounds are the new activity for Season of the Chosen, which players can jump into as soon as they load the game. As is the case with any Destiny content, you may need a few tips before you jump in.
What is Battlegrounds?
For many players, the word “Battlegrounds” refers to a PvP arena. That’s not the case in Destiny 2. This is a three-player PvE mode with four activities for Season of the Chosen.
Three of these modes are available now, as of this writing, and a fourth will arrive on February 23.
Anyone logging into Destiny for the first time during Season of the Chosen will jump directly onto the Behemoth battlefield on Nessus. Those who want to unlock and upgrade Hammer of Proving will need to play them all.
Battlegrounds tips and tricks
The events on the battlefield follow the same pattern, although the setting, mechanics, and enemies will vary. You will have to start by destroying the shield generators, face the boss and kill a named enemy.
You will notice that Battlegrounds takes place in three parts. The boss will become immune at certain points on the battlefields and you will have to burn the named enemy that appears before continuing to fight the boss.
Here are a few more tips that you can use in Battlegrounds to ensure you are victorious.
Focus on the boss
You may be tempted to attack the waves of enemies that appear next to the boss on each battlefield. You’ll have to keep them away from you, sure, but they’ll respawn endlessly until you burn each stage of the boss’s health bar.
Maximize your loot
This tip is simple and can be applied to many activities in Destiny. Make sure to complete at least three Battlegrounds activities to receive the Powerful Gear.
You can navigate to the Battlegrounds event from the Vanguard tab. Once you complete three of them, you will get some level two gear.
Destroying shield generators
To destroy the shield generators, you will need to shoot the red coils on the side. Longtime Destiny players will probably be able to figure this out, as they are similar to the weak points of many enemies in the game.
For whatever reason, it seems like a lot of new players want to get up close and personal with the shield generators they are trying to destroy. These things will explode and kill everyone near them.
These tips should help you ensure that you always succeed in your Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Battlegrounds matches. We’ll keep you posted with any new content coming to Destiny 2, so make sure you’re up to date with the latest news.
