IO Interactive and Intel work together for Hitman 3 optimization.
IO Interactive uses the Glacier Engine game engine to provide better performance with Hitman 3 on a wide variety of system configurations. The company, which is the publisher and producer of the game, announced that it is working with Intel to increase the level of detail in the game environment for those who have a CPU with 8 or more cores.
The new game will arrive on PC (Epic Games Store), consoles and cloud gaming services such as Google Stadia on January 20. When we look at the system requirements of Hitman 3, Intel Core i5-2500K and AMD Phenom II X4 940 CPUs are listed. On the graphics side, it is stated that at least a GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870 graphics card is required.
The producer said in its new announcement that it developed Hitman 3 for those with more than 8 core processors and collaborated with Intel. This is a pointer to denser maps and more complex objects.
The developer will also use variable rate shading (DirectX 12) to get extra performance from graphics cards, especially at higher resolutions such as 1440p and 4K. Although ray tracing will not be supported initially, it is scheduled to arrive in late 2021.
