Followers of the Halo saga do not have many names left to cross on the wish list of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a game that has taken a long time to take flight, but has done it in a big way with its arrival in PC and the addition of Halo: Reach, along with a huge amount of improvements. All in all, 343 Industries has announced the arrival of one of the few contents that was missing today: the Firefight mode of Halo 3 ODST.
The North American team has released a short trailer with some images of this addition, also indicating an approximate launch window for ” late summer ” without further details. It’s expected to hit both Xbox One and PC, with all the enhancements we already know about – including, of course, support for 4K and 60 FPS on Xbox One X and computer.
For those less familiar with it, Firefight is a cooperative mode for four players, a kind of “horde mode” was to face the forces of the Covenant. Participants begin the encounter with 7 shared lives, but they can continue the fray endlessly until they run out of none. Currently, you can play the Firefight version of Halo Reach in the same collection.
Halo Infinite is expected to hit stores later in the year in parallel to Xbox Series X, but until then 343 will continue to upgrade the PC version of MCC with the missing titles. Next on the list is Halo 3, and if you’re enrolled in the Insider program, you should already be checking your email inbox for invitations.
