Gamescom 2020 is one of the few fairs among the “big” to endure the type this year despite the coronavirus. Just a month ago, a fully digital event was announced for the next edition of the fair in Cologne, Germany. And now, its organizers have finally confirmed the dates and the first details of this very unusual edition of Gamescom.
First of all, Gamescom 2020 will take place from August 27 to 30 of this year. A digital event that will kick off with the Opening Night Live show presented by Geoff Keighley, the organizer of the Summer Game Fest, and The Game Awards, which is everywhere this summer. Along with this direct, the fair will have several new formats to present all the games and news from its participating companies. Then there will also be a Daily Show to expand all the information of the most popular games of the moment, as well as interviews with the developers from Gamescom Studio , to deepen their creations.
